Noam Tiomkin
Founder, Master Teacher, Research Director 🇺🇸🇷🇺🇪🇸
Hi! I'm Noam, the Founder of Talk2Learn, and a 17-year-old based in Westchester, NY. Growing up in a multilingual household, I have learned the importance of language as means of communication. Speaking English at school, Russian at home, Spanish with friends, and Mandarin with my coaches, I have first hand experienced the individual beauty every language has to offer and the communities and connections learning a language allows me to be a part of and experience. Yet, I have for the most part not studied grammar or vocab; these rudimentary skills can only get students so far. It is with native speaker stimulated conversation that I have achieved fluency, and this is an approach I emphasize to those that I work with. However, many language learners do not have native speakers of their target languages readily available—this is why I decided to found Talk2Learn. Beyond my work with Talk2Learn I enjoy diving, playing the piano, and making ceramics.
Fay Huang
Creative Director, Master Teacher 🇨🇳
Hi, my name is Fay, and I am the Creative Director and a Master Teacher of Mandarin at Talk2learn. I was born in Shanghai, China, and moved to New York at 9 years old. No matter where I have lived, art and language have remained the ultimate form of expression for me. I have mixed my cultural heritage with artistic creations, and I believe everybody should have free and accessible opportunities for language learning. My unique heritage brings me access to a multicultural environment. As part of Talk2Learn, I hope to combine my love for art and language to create an environment where all language learners can feel comfortable.
Tutu Chen
Research Manager, Master Teacher 🇪🇸🇨🇳
Hi! I'm Tutu, a Master Teacher at Talk2Learn and a rising senior in high school in New York. I was born in China, and spent much of my childhood in Latin America, where Spanish became a part of my everyday life. Through conversations with friends, teachers, and neighbors, I came to appreciate language not only as a means of communication but also as a way to build relationships and better understand different cultures. While I learned the foundations of grammar and vocabulary in school, a large part of my Spanish learning came through immersion. Because of this, I know how valuable it can be to practice through real conversations with native speakers. As a Master Teacher I hope to help more students feel comfortable speaking Spanish and Mandarin and discover the opportunities that language learning can create. Outisde of Talk2Learn I enjoy listening to music and playing video games.
Zara Khemlani
Master Teacher 🇫🇷
Hi, my name is Zara Khemlani and I am a rising senior at Rye Country Day School! I have been with Talk2Learn since Summer 2025, and I am excited to be one of the leaders of the French program this year. I have been taking French at RCDS since second grade, and I added Spanish to my courseload in ninth. I truly love studying languages, and have been fortunate enough to participate in global studies trips in both Aix-en-Provence and Peru. I also serve as an Oral Proficiency Intern, or OPI, at my school, meaning I help a cohort of middle schoolers practice speaking French through the Rassias method. Aside from learning foreign languages, I enjoy diving, playing the flute, and spending time with friends and family. Au revoir!

Caitlin Lammer
Director of Finance, Master Teacher 🇩🇪
Hi! My name is Caitlin Lammer and I am a rising senior in high school. I was born in London to a Chinese-American mother and Austrian father. I moved to Frankfurt, Germany when I was a few months old. Growing up in a multicultural family in a very international city taught me early on about how vital it is to immerse yourself in a language in order to learn it. Through Talk2Learn, I hope to help others learn authentic German and French by immersing themselves in their respective language and sharing my love for languages. Additionally, as the Head of Finance, I am able to utilize my interest in business to help make language learning accessible and affordable for all. Outside of Talk2Learn, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, writing, and drawing.
